What is included in the initial investment estimate?
The initial investment includes the following: the initial franchise fees, cost of equipment for activity/instruction, cost of programming equipment, miscellaneous opening costs (legal, accounting, business insurance, marketing, etc.) and possible ongoing subscriptions.
You will pay the initial franchise fees to DroneTogether Franchising, LLC.. Other items listed will be paid to 3rd party providers – DroneTogether will provide contacts or, in some cases, you can supply your own. You will find these item details in our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). You authorize the release of the FDD with a signed form and may be subject to your state / country specific regulatory requirements.
What is included in the training?
We have a training system devised to help you hit the ground running as you build a rock solid foundation for your new company. Here is a list of things that are covered by your initial fees:
- 30-hour training to help provide strategies, operational insight and goal setting as you begin to organize and launch your business
- On site support in your territory to help with your business launch.
- Helping devise a territory marketing strategy.
- Help with your launch press release.

- Human Resources paperwork templates including employees and contractors.

After purchase, you will attend our in-person, online and on-site training and leave with everything you need to launch your business.

How will I make money as a DroneTogether franchisee?
DroneTogether offers a variety of programs to help franchisees bring in income. Our year round program is designed to reach all flyers beginning at age 4 and into adulthood. The core program can be delivered in a variety of ways, such as:
- after-school programs (can be run at schools, day care centers, community centers, etc.)
- in-school field trips or in-school classes
- programs for homeschool events
- evening and weekend classes
- summer camps
- holiday camps (spring break, winter break)
- in-school assembly programs
- birthday parties and other celebrations
How is a DroneTogether territory defined?
We define a territory by grouping or gathering Zip Codes. Once a franchisee buys the rights to a territory, it is protected. DroneTogether will not award another franchise in your protected territory.
Do you offer any incentives or financing?
DroneTogether offers a 30% discount on the Franchise Fee for all veterans who have served in the US military. In addition, veterans will also receive a $1000 commission for all franchisee referrals upon purchase of a territory. Up to 50% of the franchise fee is able to be financed and DroneTogether can connect you with a 3rd party financing organization to assist you.
Where do I conduct DroneTogether activities?
DroneTogether classes can be offered and conducted in any indoor or covered outdoor space. We do not offer activities outside in the open air due to regulations and liabilities. Most often, our classes are conducted at schools, day care centers, businesses, gymnasiums, houses or recreation/community centers.
Do I need a drone license or drone experience to buy a DroneTogether franchise?
Experience with drone flying would be beneficial, but is not required to own a DroneTogether franchise.
When can I be in business after buying a franchise?
Once you sign your franchise agreement and become a DroneTogether franchise owner, you can start building your foundation for success. After completing the training, you can begin marketing, making contacts and connecting with local organizations to set up classes, camps or events. Buckle up – it happens fast!
